Last updated: March 2026Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using StudyRISC-V at studyriscv.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use StudyRISC-V on behalf of a class, lab, employer, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.
Description of Service
StudyRISC-V is a browser-based RISC-V assembly simulator provided for educational purposes. The simulator runs primarily in your browser through WebAssembly. The service is designed for learning, debugging, and explaining RV32IM assembly code, not for formal verification, production workloads, or safety-critical use.
StudyRISC-V offers free accounts and a Pro tier for verified Georgia Tech students. Features may change over time as the project evolves.
User Accounts
You may create an account using your email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs through your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account.
Georgia Tech Pro accounts require a valid @gatech.edu email address and are subject to verification. StudyRISC-V may revoke or adjust tier access if account information is inaccurate, misleading, or no longer eligible.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure;
- upload or transmit malicious code;
- impersonate another person or entity; or
- use automated tools to scrape, abuse, or overload the service.
Saved Programs and User Content
You retain ownership of any assembly programs you save to your account. By saving programs, you grant StudyRISC-V a limited license to store, process, and display that content only as needed to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your programs and do not publish or share them with other users without your consent.
Intellectual Property
The StudyRISC-V name, branding, and simulator software are the property of Satchit Seth. The RISC-V instruction set architecture is an open standard maintained by RISC-V International. StudyRISC-V is an independent educational project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Georgia Tech or RISC-V International.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that simulation results will be accurate for every program, course, or use case. You should independently verify results that matter for grades, research, or engineering decisions.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudyRISC-V and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, saved work, or academic results.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time as StudyRISC-V changes. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms of Service. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
